The Maya Grill at Hotel Tierra Maya features its own beachfront Restaurant-Bar and is open for dinner from 5:00 pm until 9:00 PM. The menu is full of mouth-watering temptations and the lobster, shrimp and fish are always fresh. Most of our visiting dinner guests exclaim that the food here is the best they’ve had in all of Mexico. You don’t ever have to be afraid to eat whatever is on your platter. All fruits, vegetables, and salads are thoroughly washed and any would-be bacteria eliminated entirely.

Xcalak, being the fishing village it is, has but a few small stores offering a basic variety of food stuff and dry goods, as well as a fruit and vegetable stand.

Everyone in Xcalak has become dependent upon the "Super Markets" on wheels which come through Xcalak in the form of trucks at least three times a week,supplying everyone with very good quality produce, various other food items and by special order anything from a kitchen sink to diesel fuel.

Depending upon where you intend to stay, you may be well advised to purchase some basic provisions on your way to Xcalak, such as Playa del Carmen or Carillo Puerto.
